On Saturday the 30th of June 2018 the Nottingham Independents Festival will be taking place across the city. This year The Treat Kitchen have teamed up The Speciality Coffee Shop, Café Sobar and Le Mistral to host a fringe festival over on Friar Lane – FRIAR LANE FESTIVAL.
The festival will take place outside the Speciality Coffee Shop, just opposite the Kitty Café, and will host live music acts, delicious food and face painting all day. Music will start from 10:30am and run until 4:30pm.
There will also be a charity raffle to win lots of great prizes donated by independent businesses. All proceeds of the raffle will go to Double Impact Services. Double Impact are the charity behind Café Sobar who support those recovering from substance misuse.
The Treat Kitchen’s Head of PR and Marketing Jodie Baker commented ‘We are very excited to be joining forces with other independent businesses in the area. There is a strong community spirit in Nottingham between independent businesses and a festival seemed like the perfect way to celebrate it.”.
As well as the Friar Lane Festival, on Saturday the 30th of June the Treat Kitchen will also be hosting Radioactive Sours tasting in their store along Wheeler Gate. Pop in store to see if you can eat of their extremely sour sweets. A challenge for only the bravest of taste buds.
