Wheeler Gate

The Treat Kitchen has found its home at 21-23 Wheeler Gate, just down from the Old Market Square.

Historically Wheeler Gate, Nottingham was always a prosperous shopping destination. In fact during the 1930s and 40s co owner Jess Barnett’s maternal Grandmother worked from the age of fourteen in Sisson and Parker, a book shop that occupied the site next door to The Treat Kitchen.

In chatting with her Grandmother Jess found out that 21 Wheeler Gate was once a high end glove shop, and we at The Treat Kitchen would love to bring back that sense of luxury and quality to the street. Wheeler Gate, like many areas of Nottingham, has suffered somewhat through the recession but is very much on the up and is fast reclaiming its reputation for great shopping.

The Treat Kitchen are keen to work with other Nottingham retailers to promote the city as a great shopping destination for locals and visitors alike.

If you haven’t been to Nottingham for a while make it your next day out and come to the Treat Kitchen to see how our shopfront has been transformed.
