We’re asking for your support for a charity we work very closely with, Base 51. Just recently, Nottingham City Council announced that they were cutting all funding to Base 51, putting countless young lives in danger if the services they offer cease to exist. Along with this, most children’s youth centres across Nottingham are also closing, meaning that young people will struggle more than ever to get help when they’re in need of counselling.
On Friday the 4th of March we’re launching a campaign to help inform the people and businesses of Nottingham and the East Midlands about Base 51 and the vital services they offer. We’re planning a “Base 51 week” from the 21st– 27th March for as much content to be shared and posted as possible, and where we’ll also be making an appearance at the Ay-UP market in the market square.
We need to get the people of Nottingham talking about this vital service, and we need to get as many individuals and companies as possible involved in the campaign. All we’re asking for is a fraction of your time to help us share the message leading up to and during the week in March, so we can ultimately help Base 51 raise the funds they need to keep counselling, helping and saving young people and keeping them off the streets.
